SHOPPING: NYC's Biggest Vintage Show is All About Jewelry

It can be fun to shop for vintage and antique jewelry online. But it's nothing like shopping a huge jewelry show teeming with booths full of alluring jewels and trinkets—curated by experienced jewelry and gemstone dealers. Yes, faced with so many booths can leave you feeling overwhelmed, but for true magpies (lovers of shiny, precious things), these A-list shopping opportunities are a dream come true.

And one of the best such retail events on the planet—the NYC Jewelry, Antique, & Objects Show (NYCJAOS)—is returning for its second annual spring 2025 edition to the Metropolitan Pavilion (125 West 18th Street). The show, which is open to the public, runs April 5-7 — from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Monday. Featuring over 100 antique galleries, jewelry designers, and luxury object makers, NYCJAOS is now the largest vintage and antique show in New York City. "It's a haven for those who embrace the finer things in life," show founder Konstantinos I. Leoussis of KIL Promotions, tells Gem + Jewel

Part of what motivated Leoussis, a jewelry designer and antiques dealer, to create the show was a feeling that other wholesale and consumer shows weren't supportive of its vendors: "They don’t give you a lot of guidance. Their job is to give you a booth and leave you to the wolves."

But bigger picture issues also led him to create KIL Promotions.  "We have a very short time on this planet and the world is billions of years old," he says. "I wanted to create a legacy where I could create something that was a well-oiled machine and could give back to the community – an equitable place for people to come and sell their wares. It’s an homage to things I love and the people I love."

The jewelry, objects, and art for sale at the show at NYCJAOS represent range in terms of styles, eras, and price points. "There’s no other show like it," says Leoussis. "You’ll go to one booth and see things for sale for $100, and walk two booths down and see something that's for sale for $1 million. It’s really quite an extravaganza of objects from around the world. There is a really diverse plethora of [merchandise] for consumers to come and look at—so many exciting things to see."

The show is also offering chair massages, and the space includes a food court and wine bar, so leaving for lunch won't be necessary. Thank goodness.

To attend NYCJAOS, register at EventBrite. Gem + Jewel will be there Saturday to take in the sights and capture some rare treasures for you.
