Uncommon Style: 4 Celebrities Who Wear Jewelry Especially Well
Our appetite for what celebrities wear “off-duty” is back in a way that rivals that of the early 'aughts. Only this time, the jewelry is better than ever. Celebs have become particularly adept at accessorizing, and have us zooming in on the jewelry they're wearing in street style photos. Here are some of our favorite celebrity jewelry wearers, and what makes each so skilled at donning and styling bling!

Colman Domingo
Arguably the reigning king of the red carpet (and style in general), Colman Domingo—guided by his styling team, Wayman and Micah—creates boundary pushing, always-elegant looks that linger in the mind well after the actor has exited the frame. Off duty, Domingo’s style still has a sense of Dandyism (he is one of the hosts for the 2025 Met Gala, which has a theme of Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, exploring the history of Black Dandyism) and a throwback quality hearkening back to the 1950s and '60s. He's often seen in a hefty gold pinky ring and a chunky chain bracelet. He also has an affinity for pearls, but not the trendy version worn by Harry Styles and Marc Jacobs. On a recent trip to Paris, Domingo layered strands of Valentino pearls with a single pearl pendant. On one ear was a giant gold and diamond hoop that felt much cooler and more nonchalant than it should be for its size.

Erivo's septum ring is by New York City-based designer Maria Tash, who also makes the smattering of delicate diamond studs and small hoops the Wicked actress wears up and down each ear. The dainty-but-impactful diamond earrings define Tash’s Curated Ear concept. Erivo—who won the GEM Award (jewelry's Oscars) for Style last year—also makes bold choices in bracelets, rings, and necklaces. A maximalist with fine jewelry, she has an affinity for Roberto Coin and wore several pieces from the brand’s Venetian Princess Collection to the Olympics 2024 Opening Ceremony in Paris.

Dua Lipa
Speaking of balance, pop star Dua Lipa is certainly brilliant when it comes to wearing statement-making pieces, like the Tiffany & Co. diamond necklace she wore from the 2023 Tiffany Blue Book Collection that sees two fish kissing in platinum and 18k yellow gold, with over 23 carats of un-enhanced orange sapphires. A fancy necklace if there ever was one, but she wore it with an effortless air, tossed over a silver-scaled gown custom-made by Courrèges. She's a Tiffany & Co. ambassador, but also wears the brand off the red carpet, opting for more toned-down styles like the Tiffany Lock bangle and small Link ring. But we really see her personal flair when she goes for '90s-inspired, architectural-feeling pieces and gold chain necklaces.

Zoe Kravitz
Zoe Kravitz selects the jewelry that amplifies her gorgeous angles and gamine beauty without overwhelming her slight frame. She almost always wears big diamonds, and she's famous for her stacked earring looks—she generally lines up her smaller diamond and precious metal earrings from largest to smallest; the styles always carry the same delicate quality as the dot tattoos that adorn her hands. She often wears the same type of jewelry with a gown as she does with jeans and a t-shirt, but does favor huge, vintage-inspired diamond earrings for red carpets, from brands including Jessica McCormack. She brings rocker-inspired vibes to fine jewelry, and we love it.
